Ashlee Marcus is a multidisciplinary artist, administrator, and technician who has been active in the Toronto performing arts community for many years. After earning a BFA in Theatre Production/Design from York University, she has had the opportunity to contribute to such organizations as Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Sankofa Square, Harbourfront Centre, Canadian Stage, and the 401 Richmond.

Beyond the stage, Ashlee maintains a vivid independent practice in the visual arts, specializing in the intricate craft of hand embroidery. This dedication to fibre arts is backed by a Certificate with Merit from the Royal School of Needlework (London, UK) in Technical Hand Embroidery. Her work has appeared in galleries across Canada and the US, and is held in many private collections.

At the core of Ashlee’s work is a profound belief in the power of storytelling. She finds boundless joy in collaborating with other artists to develop and realize their visions, ensuring that creators from all backgrounds have the platform and resources to authentically express themselves.
